Metacake Team Takes Home 3 ADDY® Awards

Metacake, a digital product design company out of Franklin, TN, is celebrating winning 3 ADDY® awards this year which is icing on the cake after their best year of business to date.

Metacake provides a range of digital services including Website Design & Development, Brand Development, Digital Marketing Services (PPC, SEO, Etc), Product Development, E-commerce Solutions, and Digital Strategy to help companies optimize their businesses online.

The American Advertising Awards, formerly the ADDYs®, is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local AAF Club (Ad Club) competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.

At the 2014 ADDY® Awards, Metacake took home two gold awards and one silver.

The first gold was for the Best Mobile App for their work on iPhone app Wine with Friends (metacake.com/creation/wine-with-friends). Wine With Friends allows users to explore and discover new  wines through their social connections, while developing their own personal wine preferences using the innovative flavor wheel.

The second gold was for the Best Responsive Design for their own website Metacake.com. Ken Ott, the Chief Brand Developer, said this about the win. “The goal of the our website redesign was to show where we had come as a company and create a genuinely engaging experience for the reader on any screen size whether a potential client or not. Our brand represents our core business philosophies of relationship, innovation, and product design and we wanted our website to reflect those. The site is designed to grow into much more than just a shop window for potential clients to browse, but rather a place to discover new ideas and share cutting edge work.”

The silver was for the Consumer Social Media Platform category for their work on the Max Lucado Prayer Wall (metacake.com/creation/max-lucado-prayer-wall). This wall was a brand engagement campaign whereby people came to post prayer requests for themselves and friends, and were introduced to Max Lucado’s recent book, You’ll Get Through This, about surviving difficult times.

Bob Strachan, the Chief Business Developer at Metacake said,  “I’m thrilled that Metacake won 3 Addy’s this year and am very proud of all the hard work our team has done over the past 12 months. It feels great to be recognized for all the effort, perseverance and talent that goes into what we do because so much of it is unseen outside of our four walls.”

Since January 2013, the award winning company has doubled in staff and added over 30 national and international brands to its portfolio, including companies in Singapore, Holland, Dubai, Hawaii, and Hong Kong.

Future plans for Metacake include both continuing to expand their services and expertise in order to better serve the top brands, and continue baking successful digital products of their own.
