5 Unique Shopify Plus Features You Don’t Get with a Regular Shopify Plan
Most people are familiar with Shopify. But what exactly is Shopify Plus? And who was it designed for as compared to regular Shopify plans?
Who was Shopify Plus designed for?
In short, Shopify Plus was designed for any of the following:
- high growth stores
- well established high revenue stores
- brand that need a complex or custom store experience
- companies spending significant cash on their current platform in licensing fees, technology costs, or HR expenses
- store owners or managers that are not able to focus on growing their business because they are underwater managing their current unstable and/or limited ecommerce platform
If you fall into any (or many) of these categories, then Shopify Plus was built for you!
Can upgrading to Shopify Plus quickly and dramatically enable store to grow?
As a matter of fact, yes, it can. And we’ve seen it happen a number of times.
Here are a couple of examples.
We have one client named Groove Life, which is one of the top players in the silicone ring market. On Shopify Plus, we were able to create a try on program through Shopify Plus’ multiple storefronts feature. Not being able to try on the rings was a huge barrier to purchasing. Especially for customers new to silicone rings, they didn’t know what size to buy or what style would be most comfortable. With this new store front for the try on program, customers now have the opportunity to try rings on at home and only pay for what they keep. This changed the game for Groove Life, dramatically improving the shopping experience and increasing revenue.
Another example is another client of ours named Lolli and Pops. They sell high end candies in physical retail locations as well as online. They wanted to create an entirely customized checkout experience that matched their high end brand and they accomplished this through Shopify Plus, something that with a regular Shopify plan would have been impossible.
What features are exclusive to Shopify Plus?
1) Dedicated Platform Resources
With Shopify Plus, large volume stores can scale with peace of mind. You do not share a server with a bunch of other stores. You have your own dedicated platform resources, so scaling is never an issue. For high dollar store, this is huge. Things like Black Friday and Cyber Monday traffic spikes no longer instill fear and panic in business owners. With Shopify Plus, you have peace of mind that your store can scale without issue.
2) Dedicated People Resources
From migration through launch and beyond, you have dedicated support that is there to help you. First you have an assigned support member to help you get your store up and running, and then are assigned a Shopify success manager to help you run and grow your store over time. You can literally pick up the phone to call your dedicated representative and they will offer support where they can or refer you to people in other departments that can help. This is incredibly useful.
3) Increased Customizability
With Shopify Plus, you have access to additional customizations that you don’t have with a regular Shopify plan, specifically when it comes to the checkout and backend integrations.
4) Access to Enterprise Features
There are a ton so we will just list some here. Check out The Ultimate Shopify Plus Unbiased Review for more details on enterprise features.
